13.5″ (35cm) The steeply sloping roof on this cuckoo clock has hand laid individual shingles. It has a wooden door through which the wooden cuckoo pops and calls the hours with a ‘woodland’ call. There are several different tunes including ‘Happy Wanderer’, ‘There’s No Place Like Home’ ‘Oh My Darlin’ Clementine’ and traditional German songs and as the tunes are playing the water wheel rotates and the traditional German clock seller raises his umbrella. The music can be turned off independently of the clock being turned off. It has a hand carved, hand painted wooden case and metal weights though they are only for decoration as this cuckoo clock is operated by LR14 batteries.
