This Cuckoo Clock depicts two patrons having a pint in the beer garden and a barmaid bringing a top up. The beer house is decorated with a handmade shingled roof, under which two beautifully crafted corner nooks have been built, complete with lattice windows, heart shutters, and flower boxes. On the upper floor of the house, the windows are opened to view the dancing couples inside. Through the lower window on the house front, the movement of the clock can be seen. The solid wood cuckoo calls the number of the hour on every full hour and once on the half-hour. During the cuckoo call the patrons lifts their beer glasses in time with the call. After the call on the hour, one of the two alternating melodies plays, the dancing figurines turn on the balcony and the water wheel turns. This model has an automatic night shut off switch. The clock face, numbers and clock hands are made of wood and the mechanical clockwork runs for a week.
